Sisterhood membership offers you many choices and connects you to a deeply committed group of women. These women are of all ages and backgrounds; many hold professional positions in the community, some are full time homemakers, while others are retired. What brings them all together is their love of Shomrei Torah Synagogue, Judaism, learning and their desire to support our synagogue.

Make this the year that you join Sisterhood and attend one of the many interesting Sisterhood sponsored lectures, activities, dinners or programs. Interested in doing a little more? How about helping us with program development, fundraising, participating in a Women's Shabbat Service or Women's Seder, volunteering in the Sisterhood Judaica Gift Shop, Social Action/Israeli Affairs? Whenever you have the time or the inclination to participate, we are holding a place for you!

We are urging every woman at Shomrei Torah Synagogue, join us!

September 2017 Newsletter

The High Holidays are upon us and this is a time for reflection, forgiveness and atonement. During this month of Elul, we read Psalm 27. Verse 4 says: "One thing I ask of the Lord, only that do I seek: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, to frequent His temple." While this may be interpreted figuratively or literally...personally speaking, I am thankful that I have a beautiful temple, Shomrei Torah Synagogue, to frequent on a regular basis. While I feel a strong connection with Adondai wherever I am, wherever I go, being a part of this holy community enhances my faith and my closeness to G-d. The honor of being your Sisterhood President is a special blessing and one that has strengthened me in many ways.

Todah rabah to all of you for your hard work and dedication to Sisterhood this past year. May the new year bring us Peace and Prosperity...Friendship and Happiness.
Thank you for your support of STS Sisterhood. Shana tovah
