"Ezra" means help in Hebrew.
When it's easy to get, that means everything!
THE EZRA NETWORK
Social services as well as employment and legal advice all are provided to STS members – free of charge – through our participation in The Ezra Network, an initiative of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles in partnership with Jewish Family Service, Bet Tzedek Legal Services and JVS SoCal (formerly known as Jewish Vocational Service).
The Ezra Network makes available to the STS Community, as well as to non-members living in the area, the services of a social worker, a job counselor and a lawyer. What you discuss with these professionals is strictly confidential.
The Ezra Network social worker, Carly Solomon, comes to Shomrei Torah Synagogue every Thursday and is available by appointment or on a drop-in basis. To make an appointment, contact Carly at 323-388-7285 or csolomon@jfsla.org. Alan Zenoff, a Bet Tzedek community outreach attorney, can be reached at 323-549-5827 or azenoff@bettzedek.org. Giselle Hartman, a JVS SoCal job counselor who comes to STS every second, third and fourth Tuesday of the month, can be contacted at 310-622-3844 or ghartman@jvs-socal.org.
