HAZAK at Shomrei Torah Synagogue is an active senior group which is entering its 18th year.

The name HAZAK is an acronym. The Het stands for HOKHMAH (wisdom), the Zayan is for MATURITY, and the Kuph is for KADIMA (looking ahead). With that in mind, HAZAK provides programming to enrich the lives and social and intellectual growth of adults 55 and over. This past year our programs included Klezmer music, lectures, a field trip, and other entertainment. With over 70 members and growing, join us to be among old friends and to make new ones.

We look forward to seeing new faces as well as returning members. We are open to all seniors, both congregants and non-congregants. When we have our calendar meeting for the 2017-2018 year, we will notify the office and current and future members of the dates. Our meetings are always once a month on Sundays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Our first program is Sunday, October 15.

If you would like to be notified about our programs, get on our phone list by calling me at 818-340-2949.
