Leandro Galanternik
Director of Planning, Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano
Leandro (Lean or Le) Galanternik received a B.A. in administration at Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2008. In 2007, he created a project called Diun, a Knesset simulation run in Jewish high schools. Lean was also involved in the creation of MiNU Argentina, a group of Jewish young adults that facilitate programs for their peers. In addition to organizing Diun and MiNU, Lean created MAROM Latin America in 2007, a network for young Jewish adults in four countries for groups involved with the Conservative movement. Lean was MAROM's Chairman for its first three years and the Youth Representative on the Masorti Latin America Board. He continues to be involved as the Jewish Youth Representative for Interfaith Dialogue with Religions for Peace. In 2008, Lean was the Director of the Youth Department at Noam Sao Paulo, at Shalom, a Conservative community in Brazil. He has a specialization in Youth Work and Education from FLACSO and an M.A. from Hebrew University in Nonprofit Management. In 2016, he was elected to serve on the Board of Mercaz Olami as the Marom representative, and he was also elected to serve on the Board of Marom Olami. Currently, he lives in São Paulo, Brazil with his wife, Fernanda and their daughters, Naomi and Taly together with Bela, a great dog! Le is a rabbinical student at the Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano and works at CIP as COO.
